The Health Bill Is Scary
I recently suggested that seniors will die sooner if Congress actually implements the Medicare cuts in the health-care bill put forward by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. My colleagues who defend the bill—none of whom have practiced medicine—predictably dismissed my concern as a scare tactic. They are wrong. Every American, not just seniors, should know that the rationing provisions in the Reid bill will not only reduce their quality of life, but their life spans as well.

We want to express our appreciation to Denise Crosswhite-Hader for the dedication she has shown over the last year as the Vice Chairman for the Oklahoma County GOP. Due to family complications Denise felt she must resign. We wish Denise and Marc the best in all they do.
Our Next Executive Committee Meeting will be held at 5:30 pm, Tuesday, February 9th, 2010 at the Oklahoma GOP headquarters. If there are conflicts, Please let DeWayne McAnally know. This will be a brief meeting to vote on a new Vice Chairman. There is still time to throw your hat or someone else's hat into the ring for consideration to become our next Vice-Chairman.

IT WAS A GOP CHRISMAS!
Our Christmas Fandanza this year was truly a success. Over 100 of your GOP friends mixed, mingled, sang, and mostly just had fun. We had in attendance, Senators, Representatives, all types of elected officials, and we even had a Mayor there. Through the generousity of those that attended over 100 underprevelidge children recieved Christmas presents.

TENS OF THOUSANDS MARCH ON D.C.
The media reported as many as 60,000 marchers protested government spending, The House and Senate's version of health care reform, and many of the proposed legislation that is being pushed by President Obama. Many observers believe that the 60,000 count is a very low estimate. Former President Carter and others say the protest are a symbol of racism, however there is very little,if any, evidence of that claim.

County GOP Members Join the March on the State Capitol
On a rainy Sunday afternoon, September 13th, over 5,000 Republicans, Democrats, and Independants, assembled to show their unity with those that marched on Washington D.C. the day before. Speeches were given by those like our own Toby Pedford. The crowd was peaceful and respectful. However, they did make their point of disappointment in the direction the country is heading.
